Ambaji is an important temple town with millions of devotees travelling  the Ambaji temple every year. Amba mata is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Amba Mata temple is a important and major Shakti Peeth of India. In the holy temple of “Arasuri Ambaji”, there is no photo or statue of goddess the holy “Shree Visa Yantra” is worshiped as the main deity. No one can see the Yantra god with naked eye. The photography of the Yantra is banned in the temple. The Arasuri Ambe Mata or Arbuda Mataji is considered to be the kuldevi of Barad Parmaras. The one Parmar state is situated near the ambaji town that is Danta and which also serves as capital of whole parmar clan.

The shrine of Shri Amba is recognized as a revered shrine by the Shakta Shaktism sect of Hinduism. It is known that the Heart of Sati Devi has fallen here.
